Day 24 of 31 scenes of terror - Deadtime Stories (1986)
The 24th scene of terror comes from the super catchy opening credits of 1986's Deadtime Stories. Back when horror anthologies were super popular, Deadtime Stories was a horror comedy that dared to be different with what appears to be a super drunk uncle trying to get a young boy to fall asleep while babysitting. Here he takes classics fairy tales and puts a darker spin on them.
Was this movie memorable?
No, not at all.
I own it on VHS and can barley remember anything about it.
The only thing that holds promise to this movie is the catchy opening credits as different monster hands flip the pages that display the cast and crew's names. The song is most likely the really only good thing about this movie and at least has a strong starter but sadly doesn't holds the strength the credits seems to be reflecting on for the rest of the film.
Still one of the better theme songs for a horror movie!
