Watching classics such as Blood Rage, and The Silent Night Deadly Night film series, he's planning a whole bunch of fun, including a holiday mixed tape. Until then, Chip wants to remind all of you to support small businesses if you still aren't finished your Black Friday shopping. (Remember kids, Cyber Monday is tomorrow!) In the next few weeks we'll be posting about several companies that are good friends with us at Staystillreviews that sell some of the coolest gift ideas around! Until then, enjoy the leftovers, and get ready for some truly killer holiday themed fun!

Here's a killer tune to jam out to celebrating this past weekend of food, booze, and fun!

Gremlin cookies!

 Gremlin cookies!

Back in 2013 I got really drunk and went on Etsy. Less than a week later I received two mysterious packages in the mail. One was a set of adorable Gizmo salt and pepper shakers (good movie drunk Stacy!) The second was a red plastic Gremlin shaped cookie cutter. I was puzzled that in my drunken haze I picked this since I'm really not much of a baker. Still, I was due for an article for my buddy Thomas Bryce's annual Shitmas at his blog Shit Movie Fest. So I decided to use this cookie cutter after having several glasses of cheap Italian wine and attempt on making Gremlin cookies for the very first time.

Safe to say...it didn't go as planned. F-u-c-k.

Still a few years passed and without fail I continued trying to make a few batches of Gremlin cookies. After several attempts I figured out plain sugar cookie dough was the safest bet, and I really had to make sure these babies weren't super thick if I wanted to try and get them out of the oven without them crumbling apart. There was plenty of blood, sweat, swearing, spilled wine, and oven burns before finally I figured it out. Now every Galligangiving or Christmas I try to whip up at least one batch of Gremlin cookies using my Gremlin cookie cutter. I have also learned to start drinking until these babies are in the oven. Last year I came this close to a kitchen fire. #YOLO

Any who, this year I decided to whip up a quick batch of Gremlin cookies in honor of Galligangiving to bring on over to my sister's where I'll be celebrating Thanksgiving in Maine.

Cooking time guys. Wish me luck!

"You are all my children now." *Muhahahahaha!*

Praying these won't break apart...

Not perfect but so far this is the best yet. Yikes!

Now ready to crack open this baby with some friends. Stay tuned for more killer Galligan articles as well as the winner of the Galligan Giveaway on IG at ten! Follow me at Staystillreviews!

Galligan artwork by Travis Falligant!

 Galligan artwork by Travis Falligant!

Thanks to friend and artist Travis Falligant for this killer piece for Galligangiving. This is based off a killer Gremlins sketch he made nearly two years ago featuring both Zach and Phoebe Cates. Travis send me this close up by Zach's character Billy from the 1984 Joe Dante Christmas classic. Travis has been designing pieces for me for years, including being the man responsible for our very own mascot Chip the movie loving kid! Back in 2015 the very first piece I hired Travis to design for me was of Zach from Waxwork II. Hands down one of my favorite art pieces I own! Thank you Travis!!!

Hanging with Zach

Hanging with Zach.

Over the years, I have seen and said hello to Zach Galligan at many cons and movie screenings. This story is about the one time I hung out with Zach at Chiller Theatre in New Jersey back in 2012. It was Saturday night and I was hanging out in the lobby of the hotel at Chiller theatre. For those of you that do not know, Chiller theatre is a convention that happens twice a year that brings all kinds of actors, and musicians that you can meet and take pics with. On Saturday nights, they have bands playing in the lobby. So at this Chiller, I was hanging out with my mom and friend Tom Bryce of Shit Movie Fest. I turn around and Zach Galligan is next to us. So we all start talking and hanging out. We spoke about Gremlins, Corey Feldman, Waxwork, Waxwork II, and the Hatchet films. The drinks were flowing, the music was playing, and great conversations were had. He even complimented my mom, telling her that he thought she was my sister. Thank you Zach, for hanging out with us. He truly is a class act!

Top favorite Galligan pieces from my collection.

Top favorite Galligan pieces from my collection.

It's the most wonderful time of year. Yep, that's right!

Galligangiving.

Here are my favorite pieces from my collection all having to do with Mr. Zach Galligan!

1) Zach's personal Waxwork/Waxwork II blu-ray signed.
- This piece is most near and dear to my heart. I'm sure it isn't a secret how much I love the Waxwork movies. Back in 2013 I started trying to gain support in having both movies get SE blu-ray releases. Three years later that dream became a reality thanks to both Michael and Heather. Last year at Rock & Shock Zach surprised me by giving me his very own personal copy of the movies that was sent to him from the studio. Not afraid to admit I cried like a baby after receiving this. Seriously...best. gift. ever.

2) Zach's Waxwork II crew shirt.
- Just a week after first meeting Zach in Florida, I attended a benefit auction held by Adam Green called The One Fund which several actors, directors, and crew members were donating things to raise money for the Boston Marathon Bombings that had taken place earlier that spring. The next night Adam was screening Hatchet III in the city with the cast as well. I went to both events and ended up winning Zach's very own personal Waxwork II crew shirt he received back in 92 after shooting the music video that plays over the film's end credits. I watched this shirt like a hawk and ended up getting it. Legit coolest item I own. The fact I own this makes me still speechless.

3) Tales from The Crypt artwork
- Back in 2013 my talented friend Tara whipped up this piece for me based off my all time favorite Tales From The Crypt episode starring Zach. I loved this piece so much it inspired me to even get Zach's character tattooed on me. Tara did this using ONLY colored pencils! I have since had Zach and the actor who voices the Crypt Keeper to sign both.

4) Waxwork II VHS from Japan
- I'm a sucker for artwork. I've always felt that the Waxwork II poster always fell flat for such an epic movie. It wasn't until I stumbled upon a release from Japan that I knew I had to have it. Thanks to eBay I know own this gorgeous tape that sits proudly in my Waxwork display in my den. I have several copies of this movie, but this tape hands down is my favorite.

4) Mark Loftmore artwork
- My good friend Travis designed this awesome Waxwork II based artwork of Zach back in 2015. It's still one of my favorite pieces he's done for me. Travis is one HELL of an artist and is the man responsible for designing our blog's very own logos. I've had Travis work on countless pieces for me, but this one really stands out. I plan on someday in the future to get Travis to design Zach from the first Waxwork for me!

6) Mortal Passions DVD
- Mortal Passions is a huge guilty pleasure of mine. It's actually a pretty decent thriller Zach made in the late 80's. I own this movie both on VHS and DVD. It's a rare gem, but really worth checking out. Fun fact about this movie, Zach told me using a scene where he's screaming, he yelled so loud he blew out some of his vocal cords, which resulted in his raspy voice in his next film Psychic.

7) Surviving novel
- Surviving is a really great made for TV movie made in the 80's with an all star cast dealing with some heavy subject matter. I found it through a made for TV movie website, but was also able to track down the novel based off this film a few years back. Super depressing, but very well written. In fact, Surviving was the first movie that kicked off the very first Galligangiving!

Happy Galligangiving!!!

Staystillreviews' Thanksgiving Marathon

 Staystillreviews' Thanksgiving Marathon

Over here at Staystillreviews we're getting pumped for next week. Not only is our sixth annual Galligangiving something up, but also for Thanksgiving. The one holiday where you can drink and eat as much as you want without any judgement. I don't know about you guys, but I'm planning on making this Thanksgiving one to remember (aka to be drunk before noon). Earlier this week I posted about several films that get me into the Thanksgiving/November state of mind. Today I'm adding onto that list on a line-up I got planned this up coming week for the ultimate Staystillreviews Marathon.

Happy Birthday To Me
- This is a highly underrated slasher that doesn't get the credit it deserves. In fact I plan on re-watching this tonight with some very cheap wine. It features some pretty awesome deaths, as well as a decent mystery and a very odd twist. I like the fact this movie takes place in the fall, and was old school slasher at it's best. I loved this movie so much it inspired me to do a makeup photoshoot based off this film's ending.

Flowers In The Attic
- I for some strange reason always watch the original Flowers In The Attic the week of Thanksgiving. I'm a HUGE fan of the book series. It's smut and I love it. Hey, I'm a girl and I hated 50 Shades Of Grey. The Flowers In The Attic series on the other hand was completely lit in my eyes. As a massive fan of the sequels to the original novel I understand why fans were outraged by the ending and changes they made for the 1987 film since it basically made it impossible for a sequel to be made. The book's sequel Petals In The Wind is amazing, and it KILLS me that that they talked about making this film in the early 90's but it never lifted off the ground. Still, I find this original movie quite tragic and beautiful. Worth checking out 100%

Christine
- Carpenter and King's masterpiece. The film briefly takes place in November as well as showing the actual Thanksgiving holiday. Years ago I first started reading this book in the month of November, and it's a tradition to always re-watch my favorite Carpenter movie around this time of year. I guess nothing says a crisp cool day than a possessed 50's car running over people!

Intruder
- Intruder is always a movie I watch before Thanksgiving since I first discovered this slasher masterpiece in the month of November years ago. (Weird how you remember small things like that huh?) This takes place in a supermarket where a night crew is killed off in some of the most brutal ways possible. It also stars a young and sexy Mr. Sam Raimi. I loved this movie so much I had Sam from this movie hanging on a meathook tattooed on me. Hey, what better thing to watch while prepping cooking/baking than a slasher movie that takes place in a super market?

Blood Rage
- The ultimate Thanksgiving slasher. This movie finally got the credit it deserves due to a KILLER blu-ray release from a few years ago by Arrow Video. This film has amazing effects, a great setting, and a very well written plot. If anyone asked me to recommend a slasher movie this would be at the top of my list. It also takes place on Thanksgiving and has one of the greatest taglines of all time!

You're Next
- I always think of Thanksgiving when I watch this movie. I mean it takes place durning the fall, features a pretty messed up family, all getting together for a nice dinner before they are all stalked and killed. The family actually cracks me up over how messed up they are. I mean what doesn't say the holidays more than families bickering and wanting to kill each other?

Season 2 of Friday The 13th the series.
- I've said this many times, the second season of Friday the 13th the series always reminds me of November. Don't ask why but these episodes are always playing on repeat at my house. There are tons of episodes in season 1 and 3 that remind me of the fall, but it's the second season that really stands out. Who knows, maybe it's because a lot of the episodes take place durning what looks like the fall. I honestly can't rave about this show enough!

Society
- Really puts a whole new meaning to getting "together" for the holidays. This amazing strange twisted horror movie is one of my all time favorites. It's weird, it's sexy, it's gross. Arrow Video yet again completely knocked it out of the park with it's blu-ray release. Legit crystal clear. I love watching this movie around this time of year and try to get as many people as possible to watch it who haven't seen the mind blowing effects at the end!

So what do you watch around Thanksgiving? Stay tuned next week for movies I watch on Black Friday as well as holiday themed horror!

Top 5 Amityville movies.

 Top 5 Amityville movies.
Earlier this week I was reminded that on November 13th 1974 the original Amityville murders took place. Strangely I always find myself watching the original 3 films a lot around this time of year. I've loved the film series for years, one of the films even being in my top five favorite movies of all time. The murders that took place all those years ago still puzzle me. Was it really the son? Was it the daughter? Was it both of them? Was it the mob? The devil? I guess we'll never know. With the latest film in the series legit making less than 1000$ I think it's safe to say the glory days of this series may be long gone. Still, tonight I pay tribute to my top 5 favorite films from the series.

5) Amityville The New Generation
- This was the follow up to my favorite in the series Amityville 1992 It's About Time. If you go back in old issues of Fangoria this was originaly supposed to be called Amityville 93 New Generation. I for one think that title would have been pretty cool! This is a fun early 90's entry in the series and in my eyes the last actual decent film for the rest of the next twenty or so years for it. We get another cursed object, a mirror. Moving gears to a busy city where an apartment building filled with artist soon begin to fall victim due to this latest piece from the famous house. This has an all star cast, again decent effects, a connection to the original murders, and a pretty decent watch. I just wish they had expanded on 92 and brought back Megan Ward and Damon Martin somehow. Still, the lead plays the asshole dad from the first season of Stranger Things!

4) The Amtiyville Horror
- Compared to films today, The Amityville Horror is a slow burn, but it really is a pretty frightening movie based off the famous novel. I always enjoyed the remake, but I feel this film captured the book best. Sure some of the effects are cheap (the blinking light eyes) but overall it's a pretty scary movie based off the family who moved into the famous house back in the early 1970's and how they didn't even last a month since they claimed it was haunted. Today we've learned the truth, but just hearing the story of how they ran out leaving everything behind always gets me. It's still on my bucket list to visit the real house even though I heard it's completely changed now (bummer!)

3) Amityville 4 The Evil Escape
- This film is a tradition of mine to watch this movie every Good Friday. It legit makes zero sense, but without fail every year me and my friend Mike watch it, get drunk, and always die laughing. This was a made for TV movie from 89 with an all star cast that began to whole new location with the cursed objects. Sure the movie is cheesy, but it actually has a pretty good story, as well as a really cool location. Always worth checking out despite the lamp in this film having the longest cord ever at the end of the movie. Trust me, once you watch it you'll know what I'm talking about.

2) Amityville II The Possession
- When people ask me what are some of the scariest or most unsettling horror movies I would show someone to scare them, the answer always narrows down to seven or so titles. Amityville II is always a title that comes to mind for that. They basically cranked everything up for this film and loosely did this prequel based off the real murders that took place in Long Island. We get incest, abusive, possession, temptation, and much much worse. This film deserves to stand next to The Exorcist. Also it's shot beautifully and truly doesn't get the respect it deserves!

1) Amityville 1992 It's About Time
- Hands down my favorite in the series as well as one of my all time favorite films ever. I mean I have a huge framed original poster of this movie in my house and it's the first thing you see when you answer the door. I truly believe I have the biggest Amtiyville 92 collection. I've met several cast members, and our very own blog's mascot Chip the movie loving kid was played by Damon Martin who played Rusty in this movie. This was a breath of fresh air that the series needed. It played into the fact that they wanted to switch things up with the whole cursed object thing. We got killer KNB effects, likable characters, and a pretty clever twist ending. My goal is basically to meet all cast members (mostly Damon) and have them sign my laser disc (all ready got two people on it!) If you haven't checked out this movie do it ASAP! Perfect example of the 90's actually being a great decade for horror!

Perfect movies to get you into the Thanksgiving state of mind.

Perfect movies to get you into the Thanksgiving state of mind.

Ah November. One of my personal favorite months. It's seriously one of the perfect times of year. We're smack dab in the middle between two great holidays, the leafs for the most part are still beautiful, there's a crisp chill in the air, Galligangiving is nearing, oh yes, and Thanksgiving aka the perfect excuse to stuff yourself and get wasted without any judgement. In order to get into this wonderful holiday spirit, here are several films I feel perfectly capture November and the Thanksgiving state of mind.

Blood Rage
- On Thanksgiving night a young man finds the perfect excuse to go on a bloody rampage all over the condo complex he lives at with his mother when his twin brother escapes from the mental hospital he's been locked at for the past ten years.

Intruder
- A night crew at a supermarket learn that the store is closing soon and they have to spend the night marking everything half off. Here an unseen killer begins picking them off one by one in brutal gory ways.

Kristy
- A college student stays on campus durning the Thanksgiving holiday weekend completely alone. Here she's targeted by a group of psychopaths who target young women and upload the murders onto the internet.

Psychic
- A young college student with the gift of second sight tries to find a killer who's targeting young co-eds at his school.

Casino Royal
- A new re-boot of the James Bond series where James enters a high stakes poker game trying to take over a man who funds terrorist.

Son-In-Law.
- A young farm girl goes to California for college and meets a zany friend who makes her come out of her shell. When she brings him along for the Thanksgiving holiday, she uses him as an "out" for an unwanted engagement from her boyfriend. Here the two need to play off the lie that they are engaged while the small farming town tries to get used to this flashy bright new character who's visiting.

Indian Summer
- A group of middle aged adults all return to a summer camp they attended as children back in the late 1960's. Here the friends spend a weekend re-conecting and discovering old past flames.

Happy holidays everyone!
