Halloween mood chair.

 Halloween mood chair.

You have heard of the Halloween mood table. Well over here at Staystillreviews...we bring you The Halloween Mood Chair.

So safe to say this October has been pretty rough. I've been seriously sick every day so far this month and it's been awful. Hopefully (fingers crossed) I'll start feeling somewhat human this week after getting everything straightened out with my doctor. I'm pretty pumped since this weekend I'm getting my second Twin Peaks tattoo, AMC Fear Fest has started (Even tho I own basically all of the titles they show, but hey there is nothing quite like having all these fan favorites constantly playing on a loop whenever I turn the TV on!), The Walking Dead is back on so I can drool over Negan, and last but not least I pre-ordered the Shout Factory release of the Dawn Of The Dead remake mainly because I really dug the artwork on the new cover and wanted the snag the poster of it so I could frame it up! Still, I gotta say, it's been hard staying in the spirit of things by feeling so sick. Makes me really hope I can finally beat whatever this is before November starts so I can truly enjoy my Thanksgiving as well as Gallligangiving. So to raise my spirits, this past weekend I decided instead of whipping up a Halloween mood table, I decided to jazz things up and make a Halloween mood chair!

What exactly is a Halloween mood table/chair you may ask? Well it's a pretty clever idea fellow horror blogger from Dino Drac thought of a few years back that other bloggers have followed suit in trying to re-create their own. It's basically a table covered in things that when you look at it, it instantly captures the kind of mood you are in around this time of year. It's supposed to have whatever you fancy that best sums up October and Halloween. In the past I've done 3 Halloween mood tables, and really have to say it's one of my favorite parts of decorating my house. This year with me not feeling so hot I knew my coffee tables would most likely be covered in tissue boxes and cough drops. Thinking fast I decided to take one of the chairs in my downstairs den and made a Halloween Mood table instead. Here are items that capture my Halloween spirit for the year 2017. Here is a breakdown of what I put down...

1) Bob the corpse - The biggest item on this chair is Bob the corpse. Bob is a Halloween decoration I've had for years. I believe I originally got him from Salem MA. These babies are pretty expensive nowadays, but he's always hanging around Staystillreviews headquarters. Bob is laying back rocking a pretty sweet hat and shades with his arms wrapped around Halloween goodies!
2) Old School Halloween moving decoration - On the other side is one of the oldest Halloween decorations I own. This little guy was one of my favorites as a kid. He plugs in and if I remember right his eyes used to light up and he slowly moves back and forth. Mind you it's been a good decade since I've plugged him in, but I'm almost certain he still works. Who knows, maybe this might inspire me to make a future blog post seeing if it's still up and running!
2) Waxwork Records Creepshow 2 vinyl - Creepshow 2 turned 30 this year if you can believe it. Waxwork Records knocked it out of the park with this release this past summer. I love Creepshow 2 and have seriously been loving all the C2 merch that's been hitting the internet. I ended up getting the Raft version. It's a blueish clear record with the black goo covering it. Beyond awesome.
3) Theater Of Creeps print - It's kinda hard to see but my good friend/tattoo artist Shane Murphy runs a pretty sweet company called Theater Of Creeps where he makes killer pins and artwork prints. I picked this killer print up last year which displays artwork for Trick R Treat and Halloween 3 Season Of The Witch.
4) Original Waxwork press book - This little baby was sent to me after helping out with the blu-ray release of Waxwork/Waxwork II. I seriously can't thank Michael Felsher for sending me this. Last weekend at Rock & Shock I brought this to have Galligan to sign who told me they handed these out at the premier back in 88. Galligan signed it and of course it's going into my growing Waxwork collection. It isn't Halloween without Waxwork!
5) Season 1 of Tales From The Crypt - I adore all 7 seasons of Tales From The Crypt. It's always a must to watch a handful of episodes this time of year. Just recently I've been slowly trying to show my friend Mike all of my favorite episodes. We're currently working through season 1.
6) Horror Movie 8 pack - I think I'm not alone when back in 2012/2013 the epic Horror Movie 8 pack was released with 2 discs packed full of then out of print movies (Some have since gotten awesome blu-ray treatments.) In this set we get Waxwork, 976 Evil 2, Ghoulies III, Chopping Mall, The Unholy, Class of 1999, Slaughter high, and Chad II Bud The Chud.
7) 976 Evil blu-ray - Speaking of amazing movies on blu-ray, this season's favorite release I've gotten so far has to be the blu-ray release of 976 Evil. This movie has always been a huge guilty pleasure of mine (I mean Freddy himself directed it and it has Evil Ed from Fright Night!) This wonderful B movie got a pretty decent blu-ray release and has been a favorite of mine to play as background noise this past month.
8) Chud II Bud The Chud blu-ray - Another epic blu-ray release. I love how slowly all of these amazing titles from that Horror Movie 8 pack are getting the blu-ray treatment one title after another. I just recently discovered Chud II (how it's taken me this long is beyond me) This film is a complete riot, and has must to watch around this time of year. Also am I the only one who found Mr. Chud insanely attractive? What only me?
9) The Last Slumber Party VHS - It isn't a mood table/chair without at least one VHS! I bought The Last Slumber Party a few years back believing this was a sequel to the Slumber Party Massacre series. In the end I was pleasantly surprised when I finally got around to watching this low budget B movie slasher which was honestly a really great time! This is a must to watch around Sensational Summer but I've found myself popping this into my VCR more than once this past month!
10) London 1888 Creepshow 2 pin - This is one of several pins I have featured in my mood chair. Chris Ott from London 1888 not only is a good friend of mine, but one HELL of an artist. I was lucky enough to chill with him and his awesome girlfriend Courtney last weekend at Rock & Shock and was able to pick up this killer C2 pin. I love pins that are simple, but instantly make you think of whatever movie it's based off of. My goal is to try and get as much C2 merch as possible!
11) Squeeze eyeball - I got this bad Larry a few years back for a dime at a flea market. I love anything eyeballs, so of course I had to get this. One of my favorite things to place whenever I make a display.
12) April Fools Day Novel - Zero idea this even existed. I really love the 1986 slasher April Fool's Day. Last weekend at Rock & Shock I stumbled upon this and scooped it up. I love horror tie-in movies and this was a must for my collection. I've yet to truly dig into this book yet but I did notice the long lost alternate ending is the ending to this book. Pretty cool!
13) Friday the 13th the series soundtrack - If you know me, you know what a massive fan I am of Friday the 13th the series. It's seriously one of my all time favorite shows. Hell, I even named my dogs after the two main characters. This soundtrack is something I've owned and listened to for years now. I also own it on vinyl and have been rocking out this past month to listening to the soundtrack as well as watching some of my favorite episodes!
14) Light up eyeball ring - God bless the super shitty dollar store that's in the worst neighborhood e-v-e-r. I've done several posts about my annual Halloween 20$ challenge going to this store and it's always one HELL of an experience. Still, I have to admit it has some pretty cool stuff you can't beat for buying for just a buck. One of my favorites this year was the super pretty and cool light up ring that Bob the corpse is rocking.
15)  Theater Of Creeps Friday the 13th pin set - Shane Murphy does it again with his killer company. Last weekend I picked up this killer 4 part Jason pin-set of the first 4 original Jason's. Shane is a huge Friday the 13th fan so he honestly KILLED it with this one. What's even cooler about this release was the fact he had it ready for this month's Friday the 13th!
16) Guttersnakes Creepshow pin - I really love Guttersnakes, a pretty awesome pin company I've bought from several times. One of the most kick ass releases they have done so far is the gorgeous Father's Day cake pin from the first Creepshow!
17)  Amityville 1992 original promotional pin - I think everyone knows what a huge Amityville 92 fan I am. A few years back thanks to eBay I was able to snag this sucker. Anything Amityville 92 i'm all about. I mean come on it features our very own mascot Damon Martin aka Chip the movie loving kid!
18) Hi-C echo-cooler can - If anything good came out of the Ghostbusters remake, it was the return of the 90's Echo-Cooler juice. I myself bought into the craze and picked up as many juice boxes/cans of the stuff as I could, remembering how much I rocked the shit out of these as a kid. I ended up saving 2 cans for myself. One I opened this past summer and it tasted AWFUL! I believe I'll just be saving this sucker for decoration.
19) Light up glitter pumpkin - Another killer dollar store find. Anything covered in glitter or lights up I'm all over it. This little sucker I picked up last week for a buck. love it!
20) Plastic pumpkins - I love always tossing in pumpkins, some orange, some green, some covered in glitter, some painted. I mean what screams Halloween more than pumpkins?!

Hope you enjoyed my epic Halloween mood chair! Please let me know if you are decorating our own mood tables/chairs this month!

Happy Halloween!!!
