Day 18 - 31 scenes of terror - A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 Dream Warriors (1987)

Day 18 - 31 scenes of terror - A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 Dream Warriors (1987)

The 18th day in 31 scenes of terror comes from my favorite Elm Street movie after Dream Master. This being the ever so popular fan favorite Dream Warriors, a movie I loved as a child and still do as an adult. Pretty much tossing aside the mess of Freddy's Revenge, Dream Warriors feels to be the true sequel to the original Nightmare On Elm Street, and features some of the most likable cast who sadly suffer the most brutal deaths.

One of my favorites has to be Philip to suffers one of the most iconic deaths in the entire film series.

Philip played by Bradley Gregg (of Class of 1999) is one of the many teens locked up in the mental hospital after having dreams of a certain man in a red and green sweater. Well, Philip is nicknamed "The walker" due to the fact he sleepwalks all the time. One night Philip falls asleep only to have one of his clay puppets transform into Freddy who appears at the head of his bed and slices down his arms and legs, pulling his tendons out. Slowly he begins to pull Philip by them like a puppet slowly down the hallways. This seriously is a stomach turning scene and I love the effect + the heart beat sound as the music drums on. Philip is forced to a high window where a giant Freddy holds him before dropping him to his death as the helpless others watch from below. Brutal and awesome.

Hum maybe with some jump ropes this could make a fun getup for Halloween!
